Description
I cannot over emphasize the fact that once powered on, voltages in this chassis can be LETHAL!Therefore this item should be purchased by an experienced technician, familiar with working around high voltage. I see some loose wires inside, so for initial testing it should be powered on with a variac.
Okay, all the drama aside, this was a project that I began several years ago but never finished. The parts alone should have a value, easily in the to 0 range.
I found a 50CD6 tube close by, so would guess the power transformer had an ac output of around 50 volts for the filament, and it appears that I also rectified the transformer for a low voltage dc supply.
I'm sure my intent was to build a low power cw transmitter/regen radio combo. The regen radio idea may have been something like a 25SN7, 25C6/50C6 pentode, etc. There are many possibilities. I've built hundreds of projects like this, but have no documentation on this one and I am unsure of the exact details.
There are several variable capacitors and switches. I also see a regen control pot on top of the chassis, along with two 1/4 phone jacks in the back--one for a key and one for the headphones.
A lot of the work has been done for you, and based on my experience I'd say the possibilities of what you can do with this are endless. Have some project fun and best of luck!
You will receive all the items in the photos (vacuum tube, sockets, crystal, plug-in coil, etc). Sold strictly as is, no guarantees of any kind are implied.
