Kenwood R-1000 Communications Receiver

Up for auction here is a nice Kenwood R-1000 receiver from the estate of a recently deceased ham operator. This radio has some scratches on the cabinet but the receiver itself works great. It was put on a bench here at Sacramento Radio Expo and checked for accuracy, sensitivity, selectivity, and images. After cleaning all the controls and switches with Deoxit, the unit was tested with an HP/Agilent RF generator on all 30 bands. The radio has great sensitivity on all bands and is well within original specs. If you are looking for a no-frills solid HF receiver (200 KHz - 30 MHz) that receives AM and SSB/CW very well then this is for you. No memory storage, no passband tuning, no 10/100 Hz readout - just the basics for what a receiver is supposed to do and that is receive signals and show an indicator as to the frequency of said signal.
