Heathkit HR-10B SW Receiver

Description

Heathkit receiver has great cosmetics, powers up, has audio but not otherwise tested with an antenna, but hums so it will need the three-section electrolytic capacitor replaced, not a too-difficult task given the uncrowded components below deck. Because of this it is sold 'not working and as'is'.
Note screws missing from bottom plate as well as the crack in the BFO knob (last photo). With exception of a GE tube, the set has the original Mullards.
Looks like the prior owner 'snugged up' the dial cord with some cotton string but mechanically, the tuning works without any problems noted.
Nice little receiver that with an evening  or two of replacing the cap and a fresh alignment, will prove to have many years of service left.
