Hammarlund HQ-180 SSB, AM, And CW

Hammarlund HQ-180, this is the same radio I listed the otherday and had sold as a good working radio, and was testing it before shipping and heard a loud pop and the radio stopped working eventhough it turns on and the tubes light up, there is no signal strength or sound except some static when you turn some of the knobs, also I Believe it must’ve been a capacitor that shorted even though I do not see any damage I do not have time to troubleshoot it, I noticed that the high-voltage choke gets very hot as well as the 5U4 rectifier tube, this could be an easy fix or it may not and now selling as for parts or not working.

This later "A" model, HQ-180A, features a solid state power supply, 230 VAC, 3 position BFO, accessory socket, less drift and 500 ohm line output. Model HQ-180AC has the clock timer built-in. Model HQ-180ARC is rack and clock. Model HQ-180AR was rack mounted version. Export model HQ-180AE operates from 117 or 230 VAC 50 or 60 Hz.
