  • Condition: This radio is missing the case, bottom cover, and strain relief for the power cord. All vacuum tubes, tube shields, and Crystals (13) appear to be intact. The front panel is in fair to good overall physical and cosmetic condition, the rest of the radio is in poor to fair+ overall physical and cosmetic condition. The radio looks quite original, it is quite dirty and the power cord is just plain unsafe and needs immediate replacement. The knobs appear to turn freely. I plugged the radio in, the tubes and dial lamps illuminate but I get no sound when I plugged in a pair of headphones so the radio needs repair. Since the radio does not appear to operate and due to its age (approximately 60+ years old, Per eBay protocol I am selling this item for PARTS OR REPAIRS, and as USED, Strictly: AS-IS.     Description

    Nice Hallicrafters Model SX-115 (S/N# unknown) Amateur Band Communications Receiver. This receiver is a Triple Conversion Superhetrodyne Radio.
    This is probably one of the most sophisticated Amateur radio receiver ever produced by Hallicrafters.
    It was a state-of-the-art design carefully engineered and constructed with the finest American made components available at the time.
    This radio is missing the case, bottom cover, and strain relief for the power cord.
    All vacuum tubes, tube shields, and Crystals (13) appear to be intact. The front panel is in fair to good overall physical and cosmetic condition, the rest of the radio is in poor to fair+ overall physical and cosmetic condition.
