    Description

    1961 Hallicrafter's SW-500 AM band and 3 shortwave band receiver. This radio has had the filter caps replaced to eliminate the hums. The selenium rectifier has been replaced to eliminate the fire potential. The tubes test at 95% or better. The dial lights are in working condition and the AC cord is in good condition. This radio is a strong performer. The AM band has a internal ferret rod antenna. The shortwave bands will require an external antenna. The better the antenna and ground, the better the SW reception. A copy of the similiar Hallicrafters S-120 Owners/Service Manual and Parts List is included. There are two heavy scratches on the top of the radio (refer to the picture). Other than that, the radio is in very good cosmetic condition. I will properly pack the radio and pay shipping charges in the continental US. If you are outside the continental US, I will pay the shipping to the eBay Global Shipping location.
