Collins 75S-1 Wing Emblem Ham Radio Receiver SN 2395 (untested for restoration)

Description

This winged-emblem 75S-1 (SN 2395) is in good cosmetic condition. The cabinet's paint is original, however there are a few scuffs and scratches. The trim ring has some chips in it's paint as well. The faceplate is clean and the controls/dial turn as they should. It's incredibly clean inside. I apologize for not taking it out of the cabinet for photographs, but I've peeked through the cabinet and it looks original and unmodified. A new-production AC power cord is included in the sale.
This is part of a large collection we recently acquired, which consisted of mostly Collins and Drake gear. The gentleman had acquired the equipment over the past decade with the hope of one day restoring it and creating a vintage contest station. Health issues got in the way and he realized that this will never happen, so he sold the entire collection to us. We picked the equipment up from a climate-controlled storage where everything was individually boxed and had sitting for years. On top of that, we have no idea when they were last used before he had acquired it. With this in mind, it is truly 100% untested and being sold as-is. We'll guarantee it to not be DOA, but it will certainly need some level of service to bring it back to factory spec. This may include (but limited to): replacement of electrical components (capacitors, resistors, tubes, etc), cleaning of controls, alignment, and so forth. If you're not qualified to do this work yourself, we're happy to provide you with a list of qualified technicians. We can also ship the equipment directly to a technician of your choice, which will save you a few bucks.
