    Condition:
    The machine punches manually
    The foot pedal controls the spiral roller.  If it is used for punching, the error light will go on because the pins will not fully lift so that the paper will come out.  Turn the machine off and on to get rid of the error light. Push the punch button manually and pull the paper out when the pins lift.
    When punching manually with the button, pull the paper out after the punch.  After punching, the pins fall to the middle of the resting position which keeps the pins engaged in the paper after it is punched.  Again, to avoid this, pull the paper out after it is punched.
