    This is an early Staffordshire china child's mug with applied handle.....hand colored scene of girls playing around a Maypole with a young man watching them.....the other side has this same young man holding a girl in his arms....2 5/8"tall x 2 5/8"round....Excellent condition with no chips, hairlines or damage of any kind. A nice clean mug with only some light stain in bottom. This is a scarce scene that I had not seen before. The mug was made in the 1850s or 1860s
